SOLO
DUET/TRIO (Duets and Trios compete against each other)
SMALL GROUP (4 - 9 dancers)
LARGE GROUP (10 - 19 dancers)
LINE (20+ dancers)
PRODUCTION (15+ dancers and a routine of 5-8 minutes in length)
Within these divisions are two levels of competitive performance, Elite and Novice.
The intent of providing these levels is to give every dancer the
opportunity to compete against other dancers with similar training.
Elite: Any dancer or group of dancers that take 5 hours or more
of class per week and have 2 or more years experience on a
competitive team.
Novice: Any dancer or group of dancers who take less then 5
hours of class per week and have less than 2 years experience on a
competitive team.
If 50% or more of the competing group is considered Elite, then that group must compete in the Elite level. If less than 50% of the competing group is considered Elite then the group must compete in the Novice level. If a dancer performs more than one solo, they all must be in the same level.

PETITE: 4 & under, 5-6 years, 7-8 years
JUNIOR: 9-10 years, 11–12 years
TEEN: 13-15 years
SENIOR: 16-18 years
ADULT: 19-24 years, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Determining age groups: The average age of all contestants in
Duet/Trios, Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines, and Productions must be
calculated per routine. Add the ages of all the dancers for that
routine. Divide that number by the number of dancers. Drop the decimal
point. If the average age is 8.5, the age would be 8 and the age group
would be Petite. All ages are as of the first day of the competition.

Schedule & Performance Times |
|
A schedule of routines and times will be posted six days prior to the first day of the competition. Please note that all routines are expected to perform during their designated time, however NO LIMIT Dance Competition reserves the right to run one hour ahead of schedule. Please take this in to consideration when estimating travel times. NO LIMIT DANCE Competition is run in numerical order. However, performers may be asked to compete out of sequence in order to avoid a delay. If a routine cannot perform before the awards session in which it is scheduled for any reason, it will not be eligible for an overall award. However, it can be performed for judges' comments and it will still receive its respective adjudicated trophy.

Music must be turned in to the sound table at least 15 routines prior to your performance. If your studio has multiple routines, it is suggested that you turn in all your music at the beginning of the competition day. All contestants must provide their own music marked clearly with their routine number, studio name, studio letter (to be assigned) and song title on a clean, good quality CD, cued and ready to start. There must be only one routine per CD. All music must be recorded at the proper speed. Speed control will not be adjusted. It is highly recommended that you bring backup copies of music in the event of a malfunction of the original CD.
